Police career ride along scheme in Guernsey

People considering a career in policing have been offered the chance to ride along with officers.
Guernsey Police's scheme gives people the opportunity to go out with response officers during a shift to help give them a taste of the job and speak to working officers.
Police said on Facebook, external the shadowing shifts were usually done overnight on a weekend and also gave people the chance to have a tour of the force's headquarters.
Anyone interested in taking part in the scheme is asked to contact the force.
