Man charged with unlawful burial appears in court

A man charged with preventing the lawful burial of a missing man has been remanded on unconditional bail after appearing in court.

The body of Mark Torrington, 54, was found by police officers at an address on Bath Road in Longwell Green, South Gloucestershire, on 14 January 2024.

Robert Jones, of the same address, is further charged with perverting the course of justice and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

The 75-year-old will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on 19 September.
