A 71-year-old man who exposed himself in a public place has been jailed for four months and given a five-year notification order.

Robert John Heyslop, of Le Grand Bouet, St Peter Port, was also given a one-month jail sentence for stealing.

In relation to the sexual offences, he was charged with touching someone in a sexual manner without consent and exposing himself in a public place.

He had pleaded not guilty to both charges at Guernsey's Magistrate's Court in June.
