A woman and two children have been taken to hospital after being hit by a police car in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police said the pedestrians were struck as an officer attempted to pursue a BMW that had failed to stop near the junction of Upperton Road and Narborough Road at about 16:40 GMT on Monday.
Paramedics assessed a woman in her 30s and two children, both aged 10, at the scene before they were taken to hospital as a precaution, the force added.
Police believe the woman suffered a minor injury.
The force said investigations were under way to find the BMW, which had left the area.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said the incident had been reviewed and does not require a referral to be made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
