Floral tributes have been left in a residential street for a young boy who died after being hit by a van in Dorset.

Dorset Police said it responded to a report just before 14:00 BST on Friday of a crash on Cutlers Place, in Colehill, involving a Ford Transit van and a young child pedestrian.

The boy died at the scene.

Bunches of flowers, many with handwritten cards, along with several soft toys have been laid on the pavement.

Dorset Police said no arrests had been made and officers were continuing to "carry out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened".

The force said it was keen to hear from witnesses or drivers who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.
