Another two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot in a street in Manchester.

A man in his 20s and a 17-year-old boy were held in connection with the shooting on Hampden Crescent in Gorton on 7 October.

The alleged victim, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries, police said.

A total of six people have now been arrested and a 16-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder last week.

Det Insp Louise Edwards said officers had been “working tirelessly” to identify those involved.

She called for anyone with information that may be relevant to the investigation to come forward.
