The 55-year-old, who founded the Mancunian Way charity which worked with young people and rough sleepers, stood for Reform UK in the 2021 Greater Manchester mayoral election. He says he's standing as an independent this time because he doesn't want any "puppet masters".
Crack down on law and order, says Mr Buckley
He says police need to "hammer criminals, increase stop-and-search, and reclaim the streets".
I'm the motorist's friend, says Mr Buckley
He says is opposed to plans for a Clear Air Zone, Ultra Low Emission Zone, congestion charges, 15 minute cities, external and pay-per-mile schemes.
Mr Buckley says he would cut council tax bills
If elected as Greater Manchester's new mayor, he says he "will reduce the mayor's part of your bill, guaranteed".
'Vote me in and I'll give you a referendum,' says Mr Buckley
He promises to have a referendum on the role of mayor and if it should even exist in future.
He says local government should 'stop wasting taxpayers' money'
Mr Buckley pledges to "name and shame" failing civil servants to "hold responsible those who waste our tax money".
