Guernsey's former chief minister has been remanded in custody until 29 October, when his case is expected to be committed to the island's Royal Court.

Deputy Jonathan Le Tocq appeared at the Magistrate's Court for a third time, charged with creating more than 1,000 indecent images of children, among other offences.

Mr Le Tocq spoke only to confirm his name.

Last month, Mr Le Tocq resigned from Guernsey's most senior political committee, Policy and Resources (P&R) just days before the States had been due to vote on revoking his membership.
