Betsi: 'No stone left unturned to put things right, says health boss

The vice chair of a health board placed in special measures has said no stone "will be left unturned to put things right" after the chief executive was suspended.

Prof Trevor Purt was removed with immediate effect, with Betsi Cadwaladr chairman Peter Higson saying the suspension of Prof Trevor Purt was a "neutral act" while arrangements for special measures were sorted out.

An interim chief executive will be appointed and a meeting held with the Welsh government in the next few days.

Health Minister Mark Drakeford is due to give details later about how health services in north Wales will be run.

Betsi Cadwaladr vice chair Margaret Hanson spoke to BBC about the position of the board following the news.
