US Federal Reserve set to introduce new stimulus

America's central bank is meeting for a second day amid rising expectations that it could pump around half a trillion dollars into the struggling US economy in a last ditched attempt to give it another kick start.

It is being billed as the most significant meeting by the US Federal Reserve since the end of the financial crisis.
