Oil giant Chevron fined for Ecuador pollution

A court in Ecuador has fined the American oil giant Chevron for polluting rivers and rainforests.

The fine, reported to be $8bn, follows a long legal battle about claims that the company dumped toxic material in Ecuador's northern jungle.
