News Corp's BSkyB bid referred to regulator

Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt has referred Rupert Murdoch's bid for BSkyB to the Competition Commission.

During heated exchanges in the Commons Mr Hunt said he was sure MPs would welcome the decision.

Labour leader Ed Miliband criticised the prime minister for failing to attend and accused him of a lack of leadership.
