Gulf states look to innovate beyond oil
The Gulf region in the Middle East has traditionally focused on investing in new technologies for the oil and gas sector.
Oil-wealth has helped this region boom. But governments are realising that they need to prepare their economies for when the oil runs out.
They have a long way to go, ranking low on INSEAD's recent Global Innovation Index.
