Italy revamps austerity package again

Italy's government has revamped its austerity package again.

The new blueprint reintroduces a wealth tax, raises the VAT sales levy and brings forward an increase to the retirement age of women working in the private sector.

The announcement coincided with a national strike by the country's biggest union in protest against previously announced measures.

David Willey reports from Rome.
