Retailers 'need to be online'
There has been yet more bad news from the British High Street this week.
On Tuesday, Carphone Warehouse said it was closing all of its Best Buy stores and a day later it was announced Comet owner Kesa was selling off the electrical chain for £2.
Meanwhile, Primark, the clothing arm of AB Foods, revealed sales had fallen 8% for the year.
On Thursday Halfords continued down the gloomy road, revealing profits had fallen 20% in the six months to 30 September.
David Gray is an analyst at Planet Retail and told the BBC that Christmas will be challenging for retailers and they should "capture the growth that we're seeing online".
