Will sanctions on Iran affect the price of oil?

European Union foreign ministers are meeting on Monday to finalise plans to ban imports of oil from Iran.

The embargo is part of Western efforts to ratchet up pressure on the government in Tehran over its nuclear programme.

The prospect of tighter sanctions against Iran from Europe and America has already pushed up the price of oil.
