Has Poundland's presence affected the high street?

Latest figures show retail sales rose by 0.9% in January, which is the biggest monthly jump for more than a decade.

Household goods stores saw their first sales growth for almost a year.

However, it comes as a report shows that High Street chains are closing shops at the rate of 14 a day. Some of them have blamed Poundland for taking their customers away.
