UAE government steps in to halt Ramadan food price rise
With food prices tending to rise during Ramadan as families stock up to enjoy Iftar after the daylight fast, governments in the region are trying to bring prices under control.
Earlier this month, the United Arab Emirates said it would fix the price of 1,600 food items until the end of the year to help shoppers.
