Ed Balls: Growth is actually weak

The UK economy's growth is "weak" according to Labour's shadow chancellor.

Ed Balls told BBC News that if you removed one-off factors from the figures, growth would have been flat and accused the government of complacency over family finances.

The economy grew by 1.0% in the three months from July to September, according to official gross domestic product figures (GDP), which measure the value of everything produced in the country.
