Chinese consumers 'want British brands with integrity'

Jaguar Land Rover has said it will create 800 jobs at its Solihull plant, providing a welcome boost to the UK car industry.

John Edwards, Global Brand Director for Jaguar Land Rover, told the Today programme: "We've had fantastic growth with Jaguar. We've been successful in all of our markets globally, so China's been important, but actually [we've been] successful across the board.

"I think what Chinese consumers are after are true British brands with real integrity and that's where we've got a great opportunity."
