PM welcomes production launch of Nissan's electric car

Prime Minister David Cameron has attended the production launch of Nissan's new electric car at its plant in Sunderland.

Mr Cameron told employees at the factory it was exciting that investment was going into future products and technology.

He said it was best possible rebuke to those who say Britain cannot design, make or export things anymore.
