Record eurozone unemployment figures are 'staggering'
The rate of unemployment in the eurozone hit 12% in February - a record high, according to official figures.
The number of people unemployed in the 17 member states rose by 33,000 during the month, to hit 19.07 million, the statistics agency Eurostat said.
Jinny Yan, a European economist at Standard Chartered Bank, spoke to the BBC to explain more about the economic gloom in the eurozone.
She suggested that the unemployment figures were "staggering" and warned that she expected the situation to get worse.
