HBOS bosses should 'examine consciences' and say sorry
A former HBOS manager, who came to public attention as a whistle-blower in the banking crisis of 2008, has said three former bosses at the company should "examine their consciences" and stand up and say sorry for their actions.
Paul Moore was dismissed as head of the bank's financial risk management in 2004, after he warned senior management that they were taking excessive risks.
The Banking Standards Commission says regulators should consider barring Sir James Crosby, Andy Hornby and Lord Stevenson from future banking jobs.
Mr Moore said bosses only listened to advice that agreed with them.
