Indian Prime Minister to seek investments on Japan trip

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is set to visit Japan this week where he is expected to talk up further investment into his country.

Mr Singh is looking to lure new investments into badly-needed infrastructure projects as the country rapidly modernises.

Although bilateral relations were rocky at one time - Japan imposed severe economic sanctions following India's 1998 nuclear test - Japanese investment in India has soared in recent years.
