Stockbroker: Sell-off will 'liberate' Royal Mail users
The government has confirmed it will sell the Royal Mail through a flotation on the London Stock Exchange.
Employees will be given 10% of shares for free and the sale is likely to value the business at £2-3 billion.
Gary Oldham, Chief Executive of The Share Centre, believes privatisation is the right decision.
He told BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money, "Everyone with a fixed address in this country will be familiar with the Royal Mail, and to feel you own a part of that is a really liberating process."
