Ford ends more than a century of UK vehicle production

More than a century of vehicle production in the UK ends for Ford when its Transit van factory in Southampton closes its doors on Friday.

Manufacturing of Europe's best-selling commercial vehicle is being moved to Turkey, and the company's tool and stamping operation in east London is also closing.
