Mark Carney: 'People need clarity over interest rates'

Bank of England governor Mark Carney has said the Bank will not consider raising interest rates until the jobless rate has fallen to 7% or below.

Mr Carney told the BBC it was important to remove any uncertainty over interest rates.

He said he wanted to provide clarity so people could make economic decisions.
