Will US Federal Reserve minutes end global uncertainty?

The financial markets have been turbulent in recent weeks, with wild fluctuations in share prices, international borrowing costs and currencies.

The reason has been uncertainty over when the US Federal Reserve will taper its quantitative easing scheme - the $85bn extra which has been pumped into the world's largest economy on a monthly basis.

However, there could be an answer soon as the minutes of the central bank's last meeting are released, as economics correspondent Andrew Walker reports.
