'Tailor your CV by what employer wants to hear'
People seeking a job are ruining their chances with mistakes such as not tailoring their CV to fit the role on offer, according to research by the National Careers Service.
Other common errors included inappropriate email addresses, spelling mistakes and meaningless clichés.
Director of the National Careers Service Joe Billington told BBC Breakfast that people should consider the role's person specification and "see how you can make the evidence of what you've done match up".
