Greek minister: we will give the money back to Germany

Greece's Health Minister, Adonis Georgiadis, has told BBC HARDtalk that after three years of strong austerity measures Greek society "cannot tolerate it any more."

"Angela Merkel and the German people are great friends of Greece," he said, and added "we will give the money back to the Germans when we can."

Greece has seen fresh public sector strikes as Greece's international creditors - the so-called lending troika - met to assess how effective the tough austerity measures have been - and to decide whether the country will get a 1bn euro (£844m) instalment of cash.
