New Co-op Group chair 'shocked' by Paul Flowers scandal

The new Co-op Group chairman, Ursula Lidbetter, has said she was shocked by the revelations about its former banking chairman, Paul Flowers.

Mrs Lidbetter is taking over from Len Wardle, who led the board that appointed Mr Flowers and resigned in the wake of the scandal.

Mr Flowers, 63, has apologised after he was filmed allegedly buying drugs.
