Fast food workers in US pay protest

US workers in the fast-food industry are planning a wave of strikes today demanding pay of $15 dollars per hour - a day after President Obama called the growing gap between the rich and poor the 'defining challenge of our time'.

Low-paid employees from chains like McDonalds, Wendy's and Taco Bell are expected to strike in 100 cities around the country.
