Lawyer warns staff to behave at Christmas parties

Many workers across the country will be attending Christmas office parties over the next week.

But an employment lawyer warns that embarrassing behaviour in front of colleagues could lead to disciplinary proceedings.

Ian Dawson, head of Employment at Shulman's Solicitors in Leeds, told BBC Radio 5 live's Phil Williams, "We encourage everyone to enjoy themselves."

"But what people need to remember is that... because they are related to work, various terms of the contract of employment would still prevail."
