ONS: Young jobless buck general unemployment fall

UK unemployment fell by 99,000 in the three months to October, with 2.39 million now out of work, official figures show.

The unemployment rate at 7.4% is now the lowest it has been since the February-to-April period in 2009, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

However, Nick Palmer from the ONS told BBC News that youth unemployment remained "flat" and earnings were still not rising in line with inflation.
