David Cameron: 'Economy needs patience'

Britain must be "patient" as the economy rebalances, the prime minister has said.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, David Cameron said that a sustained economic recovery must be one which is balanced between "north and south".

He told the BBC's Robert Peston that it it would take time for people to feel the difference in their living standards but that the government's long-term economic plan would ensure that the recovery was one which "lasts and that benefits everybody".
