Woman shows BBC her 'uninsured' flood-damaged house

BBC News has heard the story of a woman who says her insurer will not cover the damage caused by flood water because her house is near a river.

Jeanette Shipp from Fetcham, in Surrey said she was "horrified" after paying her premiums for years.

She showed the BBC's Simon Gompertz the extent of the damage in her home, and said the cost of repairing the building alone would be up to £40,000.
