Emma Bridgewater: 'There's more to life than margin'

Stoke-based potter Emma Bridgewater has described the difficulties of balancing starting a business with family life in her new book.

In Toast and Marmalade and Other Stories, she details the loneliness of growing her business, the strain of juggling work with four children and the sadness that overshadowed her family for two decades after her mother suffered severe brain injuries in a riding accident.

She spoke to BBC News about the compromises women make for work and why she is unlikely to relocate her business to save money.
