HS2 Growth Taskforce: 'Let's just get on with it'

A government taskforce has said the controversial high-speed rail project HS2 has "the potential to be transformational" - but only companies, workers and cities start to get ready now.

The HS2 Growth Taskforce report says there should be a dedicated minister to oversee the project and bring growth.

Taskforce chairman Lord Deighton told BBC News: "We have to make sure that the rail network, particularly in the North, is developed in a way which enables cities beyond the new stations to benefit from having HS2 there too."
