Tesco Bank boss: Current account 'challenging status quo'

Tesco's new current account will challenge the "status quo" by responding to the needs of customers, the boss of Tesco Bank has said.

Benny Higgins told the Today programme that the public are "very fed up" with the terms and conditions that come with other current accounts, but that Tesco's offer will be "transparent".

Some 17 million customers of Tesco will be offered extra shopping discounts if they open an account.
