Tour de France: Inside a racing bike tyre

The tyres used on racing bikes in the Tour de France are very different to the ones used on normal bikes.

The outer tyre is completely cylindrical, which prevents the inner tube popping out in the event of a puncture.

Mechanic for Team Belkin, Vincent Hendriks, showed BBC News how the tyres are made, and how to fit them.
