One millionth runner finishes Great North Run

Sunday's Great North Run saw the one millionth runner cross the finishing line since the race began nearly 35 years ago - a sign perhaps of how popular the sport has become.

It also means big business for many people. It is thought the 2014 race alone will generate at least £32m for the economy.
