UK firms struggle to fill skills gap

More than half of British businesses say young people do not have the right skills for the job when they leave school.

But it's not just an issue for sectors such as high end engineering. More than one in 10 hotels and restaurants are having problems filling vacancies.

It's an issue the BBC's Steph McGovern came across frequently while on the road this year interviewing executives across the country.

So, she has been out and about to find out what can be done to improve the situation.
