Ethiopian businesses adopt Japanese kaizen philosophy

For decades, Ethiopia's economy was controlled by the government but it is slowly opening up to a free market.

Many companies, however, still do things using old ways - creating problems such as how to manage staff and reduce costs.

In an effort to change these methods, Ethiopian businesses are being urged to embrace kaizen - a Japanese philosophy that companies around the world have used in order to work and run better.

The BBC's Lerato Mbele went to Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, to find out more for Africa Business Report.
