Young carers risk permanently damaging job prospects

Young people who care for a parent or sibling are in danger of having their education and job prospects permanently damaged, according to research by The Childrens Society.

It warns that thousands of teenagers are facing "excessive caring responsibilities" for ill or disabled family members, and are missing out on qualifications and a social life.
