Friend: Ruth Perry couldn't share Ofsted result for 54 days

A friend of Ruth Perry, who took her own life after Ofsted downgraded her school, says the head teacher was "under enormous stress before she died".

Ms Perry was restricted from sharing the school's new "inadequate" rating with her staff.

Ofsted's handbook says school leaders can share the provisional findings of inspections with those responsible for the governance of the school, as long as they are marked as confidential and subject to change.

Lisa Telling, a head teacher in Reading, spoke to BBC Breakfast.
