Election 2015: Lib Dems slam Tories' 'cheek' on tax allowance
Liberal Democrats have accused the Conservatives of "unbelievable cheek" for taking credit for personal tax allowance rises.
Chancellor George Osborne said raising the level was one of his "big tax commitments".
But David Laws, a former chief secretary to the Treasury, told BBC Radio 5 live's Pienaar's Politics that the prime minister and chancellor had failed to push for the move in talks with Lib Dems.
