Election 2015: Protesters target Clegg in Kingston

Liberal Democrat supporters turned out in force to welcome Nick Clegg to Kingston in south-west London on Monday, but the deputy prime minister was also the target of vocal protesters as he hit the campaign trail.

Speaking to the BBC, Mr Clegg defended the role his party had played in the coalition government, saying that "difficult things" had to be done to "clean up the mess left behind" by Labour.
