Lindsey Lohan sentenced to 120 days in jail

A judge in Los Angeles has sentenced the American actress, Lindsay Lohan, to 120 days in jail, for violating the terms of her probation.

Ms Lohan was also ordered to do hundreds of hours of community service, some of it to be spent in a mortuary.

She is understood to have been freed on bail, pending an appeal.
