George Clooney asked if he would run for president

George Clooney is at the Venice Film festival to launch his latest movie, The Ides of March.

Clooney directs and appears in the political drama, in which he plays a presidential candidate whose campaign becomes embroiled in sexual scandal and dirty tricks, during the final heated days of a Democratic primary vote in Ohio.

But Clooney said he had no plan to head to Washington as a political candidate himself.
