Elizabeth Taylor's treasures to go under the hammer

An extensive collection of jewellery belonging to the late Hollywood icon Dame Elizabeth Taylor is to be sold at auction at Christies in New York.

Many of the gems have stories to tell, such as the famous Taj Mahal diamond pendant bought for her as a 40th birthday gift by her then husband Richard Burton.
